Immigration Filing Fee Increases Scheduled to Take Effect in December
DHS announced that new filing fees for immigration and naturalization applications will be effective December 23, 2016. Back in May 2016, the proposed fee increases were already released. The new fees and the related final rule will be published in the Federal Register on Monday, October 24, 2016, and will be effective 60 days later, i.e, December 23, 2016. All applications and petitions postmarked or filed on or after December 23, 2016, must include the new fees.
